Aaliyah Daniel Haughton made her way to fame in 1994 after her album debut Age Ain't Anything But a Numer. The album came out as Gold at the age of fifteen years old. R. Kelly was a major influence on this collaboration which brought her into the spotlight. In 1996, Jermaine and Timbaland released Aaliyah's second album One In A Million. It contained If Your Girls Only Knew, the single that was most popular. After the success of this album, Aaliyah received international recognition as an R&B artist. In 2000, she starred alongside the martial arts icon Jet Li as Jet Li in Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver, a film producer at an award ceremony in which she was cast and spotted her. In 2002, she was able to be part of the vampire flick Queen of the Damned which was an adaptation of The Anne Rice novel. The Matrix Sequels saw her playing Zee, after appearing as a character in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions that same year. The singer received four Grammy nominations from 1999 to 2003. Aarti Mann is the first generation Indian-American who was born and raised in Connecticut. Mann is her stage name. Mann is an abbreviation for her marital name Mankad. Aarti uses both Aarti Majumdar and Aarti Munn as her professional names. Her acting career started in the early 2000 with small parts in movies and TV. Some of her other notable work include Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. Her commercials have featured prominent brands like Volvo. Her daughter resides in Los Angeles and is pursuing her acting.

Trevor Morris, an SCDC prisoner, was killed during an altercation with a fellow prisoner. Trevor Morris had served in prison for 10 years and died of stabbing wounds.
